"Value stock rally intensifies"
The Japanese stock market traded in a narrow range and ended slightly higher in February, extending gains from the previous month. The market was resilient, despite a rise in U.S. yields and a fall in U.S. stocks, supported by the yen’s depreciation against the U.S. dollar.
In terms of style, value stocks rallied against the backdrop of rising U.S. yields.
Expectations for more share buybacks particularly for companies trading below book value have also prompted investors to rotate to value stocks.
